Then I interviewed Ms. Castellini who also did a reading door. She chose the book 1984 by George Orwell. When I asked her why she chose this novel, she told me “A million reasons.” She went more in-depth with her explanation saying that “This isn’t her favorite book, but it is an important one.” 1984 is a dystopian novel that could be compared to The Hunger Games. Ms. Castellini says that this book is political, and can resonate with a lot of things that are happening right now in politics, making the novel timeless. She’s hoping that her door will inspire people to open up the book and try it out.
